1. Who are we?
This website is the property of Stokota NV, with enterprise number 0405.062.102, whose registered office is located at Dijkstraat 23, 9160 Lokeren, Belgium. Any mentions of “We”, “Us” and “Our” in this policy should be understood to refer to Stokota NV. You can reach us at the above address or by e-mail to gdpr@stokota.be.
2. Introduction
Stokota NV uses its own cookies (so-called “first-party cookies”) and cookies of third parties whose services are or can be used on the website (“third-party cookies”). In Article 4 below you will find an overview of all cookies with their respective purpose, retention period, who installs them and who receives them.

3. What are cookies?
Cookies are small information files that, during a visit to the website, are stored on the device, such as a computer, tablet or smartphone, that you use to visit our website. Whenever we hereafter refer to “cookies”, we also intend by this other comparable techniques such as pixels, plug-ins, trackers, reCaptcha, etc. Cookies make it possible to recognise your web browser. This is useful, because it saves you from having to enter your data, indicate preferences or adapt settings over and over again. In this way we can also enable our website to function more effectively, we can better understand visitor behaviour on the website, and other parties can get insight into your surfing behaviour.
We would also like to briefly explain the social media cookies that are used to integrate various social network sites on our website. Embedded elements from third parties, in other words, content that is stored with a third party, can also be displayed on our website. In addition, the content can be shared via social network sites by means of the buttons present on the various pages. Examples of these social networking sites include Facebook, Google+, WhatsApp, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and Twitter.

First-party cookies are cookies that Stokota places on the website.
Third-party cookies are cookies that third parties put on the website of Stokota because Stokota integrates elements from other websites.
4.2. Service life
Permanent cookies remain on your device (desktop, laptop, smartphone, etc.) for the service life of the cookie. They are activated each time you visit our website.
Session cookies only apply for the current session, and are removed when you close the browser.
4.3. What is the purpose of these cookies?
Functional cookies ensure that all parts of the website are functioning optimally. They are thus cookies that are necessary for the proper functioning and the security of the website.
Non-functional cookies have statistical, social and commercial purposes.
Analytical cookies give us insight into how visitors to our website navigate between the different pages and from which region they are visiting. A statistical analysis is made on the basis of the information collected in this way in order to improve the structure, navigation and content of our website.
The marketing cookies ensure that you will receive personalized online advertising. Through your surfing behaviour, how and where you click, as the third parties we can gain insight into how our campaigns have performed.
The social media cookies are installed via buttons from the social media sites (such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest,…) that are installed on our website and are passed on to these social media. Stokota has no influence on the use of this data and the way in which it is handled by them. 8. Your rights
You have many rights relating to the processing of your personal data under which this processing of cookies falls.
The implementation of your rights in our systems and procedures takes place at the latest 30 days after we have received your request. If for one reason or another we cannot respect this period, we will inform you before expiry of the original period.

You have the right to access the personal data on you that we process, to learn the purpose of the processing, where we got the data from and who receives the data.
In this case, you can also learn how long we retain the data, whether the data are used in order to do automatic decision-making and whether we intend to send the data to a country outside of the European Union.

It can happen that the data on you that we process are incorrect, or no longer correct. You can always ask to have the incorrect data corrected or completed with the missing data.
8.3. Right to deletion

Always be as specific as possible when you wish to exercise your rights. In this way we can properly process your request.
In order to prevent anyone else from exercising your rights, we wish to verify your identity as carefully as possible. That’s why the request must always be accompanied by a document proving that the identity of the requesting party corresponds to your identity. This can be done by joining a copy of your identity card to the request. Blacken out your passport photo and identity card number (etc.) in order to protect your privacy.
If we believe that the delivered document does not provide sufficient proof, we will inform you. We reserve the right not to accede to the request until adequate proof is provided.
